Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Prompto, a browser extension and related service that rewrites prompts before you send them to AI chat tools. By installing or using Prompto, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What Prompto does
When you press the optimize hotkey, Prompto reads the text in the AI site's input box, sends it to our backend (and our AI model provider) to produce an improved version, and returns it for you to review and send. Prompto is a writing aid; you are responsible for the prompts you send and how you use the AI's output.
2. Free tier and Pro
Prompto offers a free tier with a daily limit on the number of optimizations, and a paid Pro option that removes that limit. Pro is sold as a one-time purchase through our payment provider, Gumroad, who handles payment and issues your license key. Your license key is for your personal use; please don't share, resell, or publish it.
3. Refunds
If you're not happy with Pro, email legendinc95@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. Refunds are processed through Gumroad.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't use Prompto for unlawful purposes or to generate content that violates the terms of the AI services you use it with.
- Don't attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the usage limits or licensing of the service.
- Don't use automated means to mass-generate requests through the free tier.
5. Availability and changes
Prompto is provided on a best-effort basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Prompto is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that an optimized prompt will produce any particular result from a third-party AI. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prompto and its maker are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro (if any).
